High court Kabale sets judgement date for child disappearance Case

KAMPALA, Uganda | The case, in which Ruzindataro Tadeo accused Bishop Asili Primary School and its headteacher, Sister Magret Tusiime, of illegally taking the child, who was four years old at the time, from Uganda and smuggling her to South Africa, will be decided by the Kabale High Court on June 11, 2025.

Ruzindantaro claims in Civil Suit No. 36 of 2022 that Kirande and Sister Margaret Tusiime, the head teacher at the school, conspired to forcibly remove the child from Uganda and smuggle her to South Africa.

Both parties’ attorneys, Muhangi and Partners from Tadeo and Elgon & Co. Advocates from Bishop Asili Primary School and the headteacher, received a notice from the Assistant Chief Registrar of the High Court in Kabale.

Both Kabale-based legal firms agreed to send notice of the decision.

Note that this issue is set for June 11, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. or some time after that.

If neither side shows up, the judgement will be delivered without them, according to the assistant registrar.
